"Lucas was born with it..."
Fashion is in Lucas’ DNA. Style courses through his veins. His strong artistic vision coupled with his unbridled confidence allows him to hold his own in the industry despite his young age. Anyone who knows him and his work will tell you “Lucas was born with it.”
Engrossed in fashion from very early on in life, Lucas started hand sewing at the age of six. Soon after receiving his first sewing machine a year later, he began making clothes for family and friends. Though Lucas is self-taught, he has honed his skills and improved his technique under the direction of two talented mentors.
Lucas Charles designs are chic and classic, and verge on glamorous with his bold color choices. His passion is in designing and constructing evening wear for women, but he has also dabbled in menswear and gender-neutral clothing.
Appearances and Fashion Shows
Since appearing on “Project Runway: Threads”
when he was just 12 years old, Lucas’ style has become more refined and polished. His continually improving skills and talents landed him a return to television with “Project Runway: Junior”
in 2016.
Lucas later revealed his first collection at
Orlando International Fashion Week
in April 2017, and he will be showing his work again at the
Discover Your Beauty
show in Orlando August 27, 2017. The Discover Your Beauty show is dedicated to those who are battling and surviving cancer, and Lucas will auction off a few of his creations to raise money for the DYB Foundation.
While Lucas looks forward to attending a fashion college one day, he has his sights set on becoming the first person to appear on “Project Runway: Threads,” “Project Runway: Junior,” "Project Runway” and “Project Runway All Stars.”
Keep an eye out for Lucas as he ambitiously brings his styles into the spotlight.
